Job summary

Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel, Oslo, is seeking an HR Manager to partner with the General Manager and leadership team, delivering expert HR advice across the employee lifecycle.

You will advise on employee relations, labour law, and collective agreements, support recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding, and ensure compliant, fair people practices aligned with Norwegian regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Law, or Psychology.
  • 3–5 years HR/operational management experience.
  • Experience with Riksavtalen/AML and labour unions.
  • Strong knowledge of Norwegian employment law.
  • Fluency in Norwegian and English.

Responsibilities

  • Act as trusted HR advisor to General Manager, department heads and managers.
  • Advise on employee relations, labour law, collective agreements and HR best practices.
  • Represent HR in employee relations matters and support relations with unions.
  • Support investigations, disciplinary processes and difficult conversations.
  • Coach managers in performance management, attendance and development.
  • Develop leadership capability through coaching and training.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and offboarding with ownership by hiring/operational managers.
  • Ensure HR processes align with Norwegian law, Riksavtalen, and company policies.
  • Support wellbeing, occupational health, and workplace safety (AMU).
  • Monitor HR risks and ensure compliance.
  • Maintain HR systems and records, prepare HR reports for leadership.
  • Assist workforce planning, succession planning and organizational development.
  • Contribute to positive employee experience and protect culture and employer brand.

Job Description

We are now looking for an HR Manager to join our vibrant team at Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel, Oslo.

As our HR Manager, you will be a trusted partner to the General Manager and the hotel's leadership team, providing professional HR advice, coaching and guidance throughout the employee lifecycle.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a trusted HR advisor and coach to the General Manager, Department Heads and Managers.
  • Advising leaders on employee relations, labour law, collective agreements and HR best practices.
  • Acting as the hotel's primary HR representative in employee relations matters and supporting relationships with labour unions and employee representatives.
  • Supporting and guiding leaders through investigations, disciplinary processes, difficult conversations and other employee relations cases.
  • Coaching and developing managers in performance management, attendance, sickness absence, employee development and career conversations.
  • Challenging and advising leaders to ensure fair, consistent and legally compliant people practices.
  • Building leadership capability and accountability through coaching, training and development.
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding and offboarding processes, while ensuring ownership remains with the relevant hiring or operational manager.
  • Ensuring that people processes are aligned with Norwegian legislation, Riksavtalen and Radisson Hotel Group policies, standards and procedures.
  • Supporting employee wellbeing, occupational health and workplace safety, including participation in the Work Environment Committee (AMU).
  • Monitoring HR-related risks and ensuring appropriate follow-up and compliance.
  • Maintaining HR systems, employee records and documentation.
  • Preparing HR reports and providing insights to hotel leadership on key people metrics.
  • Supporting workforce planning, succession planning and organizational development.
  • Contributing to a positive employee experience and protecting our culture, values and employer brand.

Qualifications

We are looking for an HR professional who is confident working with leaders, comfortable handling challenging employee situations and passionate about creating strong, fair and engaging workplaces.

You have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, Psychology or a related field. An HR certification is an advantage.
  • 3–5 years of HR and/or operational management experience, preferably within hospitality or another service industry.
  • Experience working with labour unions and Riksavtalen/AML.
  • Experience with employee relations, investigations and supporting leaders with people‑related matters.
  • Experience coaching and advising managers throughout people management processes.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong coaching, conflict‑resolution and facilitation skills.
  • The confidence to influence, challenge and coach leaders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • A high level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • The ability to balance business needs with employee experience, compliance and company standards.
  • Fluency in Norwegian and English, both spoken and written
