Job summary

TGS is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner – Offshore to support our seismic vessel operations and offshore workforce. You will partner with vessel leadership, HR colleagues and operational leaders to deliver practical, business‑focused HR solutions across the full crew lifecycle.

This role requires independence, sound decision making, and experience in offshore, maritime, seismic, or remote workforce management. The position is based in Oslo, with global scope; apply by 10/04/2026.

• Collaborate with vessel/project management to align people plans with operations and safety.
• Drive continuous improvement in crew management processes and tools.

To our People & Communication team, we are now seeking an experienced and proactive ‘HR Business Partner – Offshore’, to support our seismic vessel operations and offshore workforce. In this role, you will work closely with operational leaders, vessel management, and HR colleagues to deliver practical, business-focused HR support across the full crew lifecycle. The position reports to the Director - HR, Marine Data Acquisition.

This is a role for someone who is comfortable working independently, taking ownership, and making sound decisions in a dynamic operational environment. A high degree of independence is essential, and knowledge or experience within offshore, maritime, seismic, or remote workforce management is considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted HR partner to offshore seismic operations, vessel leadership, and relevant business stakeholders.
• Support the full offshore crew lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, contract administration, rotation planning, engagement, retention, and repatriation.
• Provide advice and guidance on HR matters, crew welfare, workforce planning, employee relations, and organizational development.
• Collaborate with vessel and project management to ensure people plans are aligned with operational requirements, safety expectations, and company priorities.
• Drive continuous improvement in crew management processes, tools, and ways of working, while demonstrating a genuine commitment to understanding how effective crew management contributes to operational success.
• Work closely with the broader HR organization to promote consistent, fair, and compliant people practices.

Qualifications And Experience

• Relevant HR experience from international offshore, crewing, seismic, or other operational environments.
• Strong understanding of HR processes across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, workforce planning, and engagement.
• Ability to manage several priorities independently and deliver high-quality support in a fast-moving environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with stakeholders across cultures, locations, and time zones.
