Job summary

Nel Hydrogen is seeking a structured and solution‑oriented Test Engineer to join our Technology department and support alkaline operations through the operation, maintenance, and running of our test stations. You will work closely with colleagues across disciplines to ensure high quality, stable operations, and continuous improvement of test equipment and test processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in operation, maintenance, or development of test systems is advantageous.
• Good understanding of troubleshooting hardware and software systems.
• Experience with test equipment, measurement instruments, and data analysis is desirable.
• Fluency in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor test stations and test equipment.
• Ensure stable and efficient operation of test systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test equipment and associated systems.
• Plan and perform preventive maintenance activities.
• Support the installation, upgrade, and qualification of new test equipment.
• Analyze test results and report deviations.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure effective testing processes.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and work instructions.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities related to test methods, automation, and process efficiency.
• Provide training and support to users of test equipment.
