Job summary

Obsidian is seeking an attentive Gujarati-speaking annotator to build structured datasets from Gujarati documents. You will identify, bound, and label page regions, ensuring precise reading order and faithful transcription of Gujarati text.

Responsibilities include recording page metadata, linking regions to figures/tables, and undergoing second-level review to ensure high accuracy across diverse document types.

Qualifications

• Native Gujarati speaker with full command of Gujarati script and orthography.
• Excellent attention to detail and character-level accuracy.
• Experience with document annotation, transcription, or localization is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and bound every meaningful region on Gujarati documents and assign type and reading order.
• Link regions to their parent figure/table for accurate structure mapping.
• Transcribe all text exactly in Gujarati script, flagging illegible regions.
• Record metadata: language, document type, source, page dimensions, handwriting/table flags.
