The role emphasizes accuracy over speed and involves independent work with subsequent review by another Bengali expert. The work focuses on publicly available Bengali PDFs, including handwritten or mixed-script content, to build a robust training corpus for document AI.

Qualifications

• Native Bengali speaker with full command of Bengali script and orthography.
• Experience with document annotation, transcription, or localization is preferred.
• Character-level accuracy is essential.

Responsibilities

• Source publicly accessible Bengali PDFs containing multimodal elements and record source.
• Annotate and bound every meaningful region with type and reading order.
• Record relationships linking regions to figures or tables via parent IDs.
• Transcribe faithfully in Bengali script, flagging illegible regions.
• Capture page metadata: language, document type, source, dimensions, and flags.
• Review work as part of a two-person verification process.
