Job summary

Norconsult is seeking a graduate or junior marine structural engineer to join our team in Trondheim. You will contribute to structural design and analysis of marine structures, collaborating with clients and experienced engineers from day one.

You will work on projects in aquaculture containment, renewable energy, and coastal infrastructure, with opportunities for learning, mentorship, and career development in a supportive, interdisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Final year student or up to 5 years of relevant experience in marine structures.
• Strong analytical skills and interest in design, analysis and numerical modelling.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with good English communication.
• Norwegian language skills are a plus and motivation to learn Norwegian.

Responsibilities

• Structural design and analysis of marine structures.
• Finite element analyses.
• Concept development and design of marine structures (aquaculture containment systems).
• Assessment of structural response to environmental loads.
• Analysis of slender marine structures and hydroelastic systems.
• Structural verification against design standards and site conditions.
• Collaboration with hydrodynamic and other engineering disciplines.
• Preparation of calculations, reports and technical documentation.
