Job summary

Palfinger Marine Norway AS is seeking Service Engineers to join our team in Bergen. You will lead the installation, commissioning, inspection, and servicing of cranes, deck equipment, and machinery across onshore and offshore sites.

The role requires a technical background in hydraulic/electrical systems, the ability to read drawings, and strong fault‑finding skills. Offshore travel is extensive, and English communication is essential for collaboration across our international teams.

Qualifications

• Technical education or strong hands‑on experience in hydraulic/mechanical systems or automation.
• Ability to read technical drawings and troubleshoot faults.
• Offshore health certificate is essential; maritime/offshore experience is a strong advantage.
• Excellent English, written and spoken, and good interpersonal skills.
• Independent work ethic with ability to cooperate in a team and multi‑task.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead in installing, commissioning, inspecting, and servicing advanced cranes, deck equipment, and machinery.
• Deliver scheduled and unscheduled service interventions across the globe, both onshore and offshore.
• Provide hands‑on technical support on‑site and remotely, including planning and preparing service interventions.
• Ensure safety and quality by following HSE requirements, policies, and quality systems.
• Embrace an international service role with an estimated travel of 150+ days per year.
