Job summary

SLB Kristiansand is seeking a Field Service Engineer for Rig Equipment to install, commission, service and upgrade equipment worldwide. You will travel extensively and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure high performance and safety.

You should have a degree in electrical/automation disciplines, PLC experience (Siemens SIMATIC S7 / TIA Portal), and strong English communication. An electrician certification and VFD experience are advantageous.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or equivalent experience.
Experience with electrical, automation, or control systems.
Familiarity with PLC-based control systems, especially Siemens SIMATIC S7 and TIA Portal.
Understanding of electrical schematics, motor control, and power distribution.
Willingness to travel internationally.
Certified Electrician (Gr. L) and experience with VFDs is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Commissioning and follow-up of SLB Rig Equipment products worldwide.
Installation, testing and commissioning of projects.
Service interventions including repair, troubleshooting, modifications & upgrades.
Technical follow up of operational SLB Rig Equipment.
Assisting ongoing SLB projects in-house.
This position involves extensive traveling.
