Job summary

ABB is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to lead advanced troubleshooting, field service, and project work across Norway. You’ll diagnose incidents, perform on-site support both onshore and offshore, and ensure safe, reliable operation of control systems in critical industries.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in the field, experience with ABB 800xA or Advant/Safeguard, and strong English skills. Offshore certification and Norwegian language are a plus. Travel is 20–50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Professional proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and resolving technical incidents and customer inquiries through Remedy.
• Providing on-site support for customers across Norway, onshore and offshore.
• Troubleshooting and restoring complex control systems in critical environments.
• Performing proactive system health checks to improve reliability and performance.
• Contributing to projects from small modifications to large upgrades.
• Collaborating with Bergen and Hammerfest engineers and customer teams.
