Florida Medical Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant to support ambulatory/physician office operations, including patient registration, phone coverage, and appointment scheduling. You will work under supervision across multiple managers to ensure smooth front-office workflow.

The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and at least two years of medical office experience. A high school diploma and basic ICD/CPT knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Typing speed of approximately 30 wpm or ability to demonstrate competent use of a practice management system.
• Knowledge of ICD & CPT codes.
• Two years’ experience in a medical office environment.

Responsabilités

• Adheres and assures compliance with Orlando Health policies and department procedures.
• Handle multiple tasks, answer calls, file lab reports and medical records per policy.
• Perform word processing and spreadsheet data entry.
• Perform charge entry and cash handling.
• Serve as liaison between physician, patient and insurance for referrals/authorizations.
• Maintain punctual attendance and compliance with applicable policies.
• Support office billing service and keep a clean, safe office.
