Dermatology Institute, an affiliate of Anne Arundel Dermatology, seeks a full-time Medical Assistant to join our clinical team in LaGrange and Newnan, GA. You will support dermatology providers with patient visits, procedures, and daily office operations, while also handling front desk duties as needed.

Ideal candidates are dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced practice, ensuring a positive patient experience across locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of medical assistant or related clinical patient care experience preferred.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred unless prohibited by state law.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with focus on patient experience.

Responsabilités

• Greet patients and escort to exam rooms; prepare for appointments and procedures.
• Review and document medical histories and chief complaints.
• Assist physicians during medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology visits.
• Provide clinical assistance during procedures (biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy).
• Perform venipuncture and collect specimens for labs.
• Prepare exam rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Administer medications and injections under supervision.
• Maintain EMR documentation and review post-procedure care.
• Coordinate lab orders and follow-up visits.
• Front desk duties: check-in/out and appointment scheduling.
• Restock supplies and maintain organized clinical area.
