Job summary

Cliff House Maine is seeking a dedicated Banquet Lead to guide the team across all banquet functions, including set-up, service and breakdown. You will shape guest experiences and turn interactions into moments of magic.

The role oversees events, coordinates with culinary and planning teams, mentors staff, and upholds elevated luxury service standards. Fluency in English and the ability to manage multiple events while ensuring accurate billing and reporting are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading banquet teams.
• Ability to manage scheduling, staffing, and labor efficiency.
• Excellent English communication, both spoken and written.
• Knowledge of POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with banquet leadership on daily operations, priorities and execution strategy.
• Conduct preshift meetings and ensure team preparedness across all positions.
• Mentor and develop team members including supervisors, servers, bartenders and housemen.
• Lead daily walkthroughs to ensure all event spaces meet luxury expectations.
• Ensure accuracy of billing, consumption, and event reports.
• Identify operational gaps and implement solutions in real time.
• Person of contact for service challenges or guest concerns.
• Collaborate with culinary and planning team for event execution.
