Job summary

Dexory is building its first company-wide data capability. You will own the data foundation, model sources into clean tables, and define metrics so AI can query data safely. This is a senior, hands-on role with a clear path to lead the function as a one-person team to start.

Hybrid work is available (up to 2 days on-site per month; more attendance preferred). You will join to establish standards, prove value with early wins, and shape the data organization as it scales.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a senior data/analytics engineer with ownership of architecture and source-of-truth decisions.
• Hands-on data skills: fluent SQL, data modelling, modern data stack; Databricks or equivalent lakehouse; Python.
• Experience with AI automation tooling and LLMs/agents to integrate systems and enable natural-language data access.
• Proven track record integrating operational and SaaS systems (Databricks, HubSpot, Pendo, Grafana).
• Strong facilitation skills to align non-technical stakeholders on definitions and ownership.
• Experience with data quality, deduplication, or entity resolution to keep data consistent.
• Self-starter who can lead as the first/sole engineer in a fast-moving scale-up.

Responsibilities

• Build the data foundation by consolidating operational, product, commercial, and contractual data.
• Embed data security requirements into core architecture and design principles.
• Model performance and SLAs to provide on-demand, trustworthy answers.
• Define metrics and business definitions, creating a metrics bible for AI and reporting.
• Enable self-serve data with AI automation, connectors, pipelines, and a thoughtful query layer.
• Collaborate with engineering, platform, autonomy, and perception teams to expose clean source data.
• Monitor pipelines, adapt to changing sources, and protect the data as the source of truth.
• Make pragmatic build-vs-buy decisions and set standards for the future team.
• Help define, recruit, and mentor the data function as it grows.
