Sony Europe in Lysaker is seeking a Firmware Design Intern to contribute to the design and development of CMOS image sensor firmware. You will work on embedded firmware for ASIC devices, writing low level C for ARM CPUs, and be a hands-on contributor collaborating with the Firmware Team to deliver on time.
You will coordinate with teams in Europe and Japan, define specifications, and implement real-time firmware for sensor control, data processing, and I/O interfaces.
Firmware Design Internwho will be involved in the design and development of advanced CMOS image sensors. You will be part of an international team that works in the design of timing and control signals for pixel array readout, amplifiers, and analogue/digital converters, signal processing blocks for noise reduction and colour enhancement, as well as I/O interfaces and low noise power supplies for use in Sony Semiconductor Solutions Image Sensors and similar specialty innovative products.
You will be part of a multi-discipline camera and imaging systems team, defining and documenting specifications, as well as developing RTL/firmware to control the sensor and process the video data. You will focus on embedded firmware design, development, and verification for ASIC devices, writing low level coding in
C language for ARM CPUs. You will be a hands-on contributor who will also take full responsibility for their tasks and collaborate with the Firmware Team to deliver the products on time.
You will need to work closely with other teams in Japan and the rest of the design teams in Europe, with cross-functional teams (analog design, PI, product engineering, and functional safety teams).
