Telia in Norway is looking for a Financial Controller - Revenue to join our Finance team. The role focuses on ensuring IFRS 15 compliance, revenue reporting, and cross-functional collaboration with commercial divisions.

You will contribute to process improvements, controls, and audits while acting as a trusted partner for business controlling. We value analytical, proactive professionals with strong Excel skills and proficiency in English and Norwegian.

Qualifications

• Higher education in finance, accounting, business administration, auditing, or a related field
• Minimum of four years of relevant experience
• Experience with IFRS and with accounting and tax-related matters in general
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Norwegian and English
• Experience with basic SQL or other coding languages is an advantage
• Highly proficient Excel user

• Provide input to, and QA of, monthly and quarterly financial reporting
• Support follow-up activities related to external and internal audits
• Act as a sparring partner for Telia Norway's commercial divisions and business controlling
• Perform controls of revenue data loads during month-end close, including basic SQL queries (training provided)
• Follow up, analyze, and ensure quality of revenue-related balance sheet items
• Document selected internal controls related to responsibilities above
• Assess and document accounting treatment of new revenue streams

The Finance team is looking for a new Financial Controller to join our Revenue team in Norway. We offer a varied and engaging work environment, great colleagues, and a strong professional community.

The role is part of an engaged and highly skilled Financial Control team consisting of ten talented colleagues. In addition to working closely within the team, we collaborate extensively across the organization and participate in a variety of cross-functional projects. This provides a unique opportunity to build a strong network, collaborate with knowledgeable colleagues, and gain insight into different areas of the business.

Financial Control in Telia Norway is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial information for the company. The Revenue team primarily supports the commercial divisions with revenue reporting and accounting assessments.

What you'll do:

• Ensure compliance with relevant IFRS standards, with a particular focus on IFRS 15
• Contribute to improving processes and internal controls related to revenue and balance sheet items
• Provide input to, and perform quality assurance of, monthly and quarterly financial reporting
• Support follow-up activities related to external and internal audits
• Act as a trusted sparring partner for Telia Norway's commercial divisions and business controlling on accounting-related matters
• Perform controls of revenue data loads as part of the month-end closing process, including running basic SQL queries on complex datasets (training will be provided!)
• Follow up, analyze, and ensure the quality of revenue-related balance sheet items
• Perform and document selected internal controls related to the responsibilities above
• Assess and document the accounting treatment of new revenue streams.
