Job summary

Telia Norway is seeking a Financial Controller - Revenue to join our Finance team. The role focuses on IFRS 15 revenue recognition, internal controls, and collaboration with commercial divisions to ensure accurate reporting.

You will analyze revenue data, support audits, and help improve processes and mappings across the revenue cycle. Strong Excel and SQL skills, plus fluency in Norwegian and English, are essential.

Qualifications

• Higher education in finance, accounting, business administration, auditing, or related field.
• Minimum of four years of relevant experience.
• Experience with IFRS and accounting and tax-related matters in general.
• Strong written and verbal communication in Norwegian and English.
• Experience with basic SQL or other coding languages is an advantage.
• Highly proficient Excel user.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with IFRS standards, with emphasis on IFRS 15.
• Contribute to improving processes and internal controls related to revenue and balance sheet items.
• Provide input to, and perform quality assurance of, monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
• Support follow-up activities related to external and internal audits.
• Act as trusted sparring partner for Telia Norway's commercial divisions and business controlling on accounting matters.
• Perform controls of revenue data loads as part of month-end closing, including basic SQL queries (training provided).
• Follow up, analyze, and ensure the quality of revenue-related balance sheet items.
• Document selected internal controls related to the responsibilities above.
• Assess and document the accounting treatment of new revenue streams.
