Job summary

Future Engineering Recruitment Ltd in Oslo seeks an experienced Estimator to support commercial planning of major data centre developments. You will collaborate with pre-construction, design, procurement and commercial teams to produce accurate estimates for large construction packages.

From early tender stages, you will review project information, identify commercial risks and develop cost plans to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating for major or technically complex projects.
• Background in data centres, manufacturing, industrial or major infrastructure is advantageous.
• Construction/engineering or quantity surveying qualification is beneficial.
• Willingness to relocate to Oslo.
• Ability to review drawings, specs and tender documents.

Are you an experienced Estimator looking to play a key role in the commercial planning of major data centre developments in Norway?

Join an established international contractor delivering technically complex projects for leading global clients. Based in the Oslo office, you’ll work closely with the pre-construction, design, procurement and commercial teams to produce accurate and competitive estimates for major construction packages.

You’ll be involved from the early tender stages, reviewing project information, identifying commercial risks and developing cost plans that support successful project delivery.

This is an exciting opportunity to strengthen your experience within the rapidly growing data centre sector and progress towards Senior Estimator, Estimating Manager or wider pre-construction leadership.

Your role as an Estimator will include:

• Reviewing drawings, specifications, tender documents and scopes of work
• Preparing detailed cost estimates for major construction packages
• Completing quantity take-offs and developing bills of quantities
• Issuing enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers
• Analysing quotations and preparing commercial comparisons

As an Estimator, you will need:

• Previous estimating experience within construction, engineering or building services
• Experience preparing tenders for major or technically complex projects
• Data centre, advanced manufacturing, industrial or major infrastructure experience would be advantageous
• A construction, engineering or quantity surveying qualification would be beneficial
• Willingness to relocate and work from the Oslo office
