Job summary

Autodesk, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager to grow talent across our AI-powered architecture design platform in Oslo. You will split time roughly 70% writing code and 30% leading people, mentoring engineers, removing blockers, and shaping career growth across product teams.

You will guide a group of engineering managers and individual contributors, balancing hands-on technical work with people leadership to deliver scalable cloud and AI-enabled design workflows.

Qualifications

• Requires strong hands-on engineering background with cloud-based system experience.
• Experience leading engineers across multiple product contexts in a matrix structure.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop engineers toward higher performance.

Responsibilities

• Own career development and growth for engineers; assess strengths and aspirations.
• Conduct regular one-on-ones, feedback cycles, and coaching.
• Participate in hiring and onboarding of engineers; ensure smooth integration into teams.
• Remove blockers and advocate for engineers to ensure they have what they need to succeed.
• Collaborate with product leads and peers to sustain team health and development across the matrix.
• Contribute technically while leading, modeling high standards for code quality and problem-solving.
