Job summary

Autodesk Forma seeks an Engineering Manager to grow and develop talent across the organization. You will split your time between hands-on product development and people leadership, mentoring engineers and removing blockers to enable high-quality work.

You will work on cloud-based architecture, AI-powered design, and simulation workflows, combining technical judgment with people leadership to deliver meaningful environmental impact.

Qualifications

• Experience as an engineering manager, team lead, or similar people-leadership role.
• Experience with Agentic AI.
• Experience with TypeScript, serverless architectures, and AWS.
• Experience with 3D graphics, WebGL/WebGPU, computational geometry, or CAD/BIM.

Responsibilities

• Split time roughly 70% on product development and 30% on people leadership and career growth.
• Mentor engineers, set quality and technical standards, and remove blockers.
• Work with product leads to support team health and development.
• Contribute as a hands-on contributor and as a peer engineer on technical decisions.
• Model high standards for code quality, communication, and problem-solving.
• Balance hands-on work with people leadership in a matrix organization.
