Waterise Solutions is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead subsea package engineering teams as we build a new class of seabed-based desalination systems from FEED to offshore installation in Oslo. The role focuses on delivering EPC projects and coordinating multi-discipline engineering with direct reporting to the CTO.
The candidate will have 10+ years in oil & gas subsea projects, a MSc/BSc in Mechanical, Marine or Subsea Engineering, and fluent English.
Lead subsea package engineering teams building seabed-based desalination systems from FEED to offshore installation.
Access to clean water is essential for people, communities, and industries, yet water scarcity is one of the fastest-growing global challenges. At Waterise, we are developing groundbreaking technology that transforms seawater into fresh water in a more sustainable, energy-efficient, and cost-effective way. By combining Norwegian subsea expertise with innovative water treatment technology, we are helping secure access to clean water for millions of people around the world. We are now looking for talented and passionate colleagues who want to join us on this exciting journey and make a real difference
Lead our subsea package engineering teams as we build a new class of sustainable, seabed-based desalination systems. Oslo-based, from FEED to offshore installation.
Waterise is pioneering a new class of subsea desalination systems that produce fresh water offshore, at scale, with significantly reduced reliance on energy-intensive high-pressure pumping. By placing the reverse osmosis process on the seabed, the system uses natural hydrostatic pressure as part of the desalination process. The technology builds on proven subsea engineering disciplines from offshore oil and gas, but applies them in a new and purposeful way: delivering sustainable freshwater infrastructure from the seabed.
As Waterise moves into project execution, we are strengthening our CTO organisation and looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) teams. This is a hands-on, project-facing leadership role based in Oslo, reporting directly to the CTO. You will organise engineering delivery across packages, drive progress and interfaces, support technical decision-making, and help shape the way our engineering organisation operates as we scale from development into execution.
MSc or BSc in Mechanical, Marine or Subsea Engineering
10+ years of experience from oil & gas subsea projects - subsea production systems (SPS), structures, flowlines, umbilicals
Proven track record delivering EPC projects from FEED through fabrication, testing and offshore installation
Experience leading multidiscipline engineering teams and directing supplier engineering
Fluent English required; Norwegian is an advantage
Good experience in Microsoft Office
Comfortable in a fast-moving, early-stage project environment where processes are still being built
Join us in our mission to make clean water accessible to the world.
