Job summary

TechnipFMC plc in Kongsberg, Norway, is seeking an Engineer, Installation Engineering to join an SSE project taskforce. You will contribute to installation and commissioning of flexible, umbilical, spools, jumpers and seabed structures while adhering to TechnipFMC standards, procedures, and budgets.

The role covers design, procurement, manufacturing and installation activities, with emphasis on safe mobilization, subcontractor coordination and on-site execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree with 1–3 years relevant experience.
• Master degree with 0–2 years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering work related to design, procurement, manufacturing and installation within Installation & Construction as assigned.
• Develop installation and commissioning procedures and mobilization plans.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and procurement for mobilization of equipment and vessels.

Job Purpose

Participates in engineering solutions as part of a SSE project taskforce, in accordance with TechnipFMC standards, procedures, processes, schedules, and budget, with a continuous concern for quality, targets, and customer satisfaction. The Engineer, Installation Engineering works within the discipline Installation & Construction with assigned tasks. The Engineer role comprise the following competencies: installation engineering for installation and intervention/commissioning of flexible, umbilical, spools, jumpers and seabed structures, lifting, mobilization for installation campaigns and seabed preparation.

Job Description

Perform engineering work related to design, procurement, manufacturing and installation within the discipline Installation & Construction as assigned.

Typical Tasks

• Installation & commissioning methods
• Detailed operation/installation/commissioning procedures
• Master equipment list
• Technical follow up of subcontractors
• Specifications for mobilization and demobilization of installation & commissioning equipment and vessels
• Manufacturing and quality control specifications and acceptance criteria of lines and equipment
• Support to procurement
• Participate on mobilisations and offshore campaigns
