Job summary

TechnipFMC in Norway seeks a Senior Engineer in Installation & Construction to lead engineering solutions within a project taskforce, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction. You will oversee installation methods, mobilization, and subcontractor follow-up while mentoring junior engineers and aligning with project plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation and construction activities in accordance with project plan and standards.
• Mentor new engineers and guide GEC engineers to ensure delivery on schedule.
• Develop procedures and ensure documentation, quality assurance, and proper mobilisation for offshore campaigns.
• Work with procurement, design, and commissioning teams to support tenders and studies.

Job description

Job Purpose:

Defines and leads engineering solutions within a SSE project taskforce, in accordance with TechnipFMC standards, procedures and processes, schedules and man hours, with a continuous concern for quality, targets, and customer satisfaction.
The Senior Engineer, Installation & Construction works within the discipline Installation & Construction with assigned tasks. The Senior Engineer role comprise the following competencies: installation engineering for installation and intervention/commissioning of flexible, umbilical, spools, jumpers and seabed structures, lifting, mobilization for installation campaigns and seabed preparation.

Job Description

• Work in accordance with BPMS processes
• Seek to ensure that work is carried out with the minimum use of resources
• Seek to contribute to the improvement and quality assurance of work processes
• Ensure that correct version of codes, standards and software are used in all work
• Ensure that proper documentation of all work is kept according to guidelines
• Develop the pre-determined field of expertise
• Mentor new engineers
• Lead GEC engineers and ensure delivery as per the project plan

Perform engineering work related to design, procurement, manufacturing and installation within the discipline Installation & Construction asassigned. Typical tasks:

• Installation & commissioning methods
• Detailed operation/installation/commissioning procedures
• Master equipment list
• Technical follow up of subcontractors
• Specifications for mobilization and demobilization of installation & commissioning equipment and vessels
• Manufacturing and quality control specifications and acceptance criteria of lines and equipment
• Support to procurement
• Mentor new project engineers
• Support tenders and studies with engineering activities
• Work independently on mobilisation and offshore campaigns

Upon request perform the role as Project Lead Engineer.
