Job summary

Accenture Construct seeks an experienced Blasting Manager – Enabling Works to support a 216MW hyperscale data centre campus in Stavanger, Norway. The role is site-based, leading client-side oversight of rock excavation, blasting and enabling works through mobilisation to handover.

You will coordinate with principal contractors, monitor safety, quality and programme, and ensure compliance with Norwegian regulations. Fluent Norwegian and English are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in rock excavation and blasting on large-scale projects.
• Proven ability to manage enabling works and coordinated interfaces.
• Strong knowledge of HSE, quality, programme control and site governance.
• Experience in client-side or PMC roles within major infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day client-side oversight of blasting, rock excavation and enabling works.
• Manage sequencing of works against key programme and platform handover dates.
• Oversee compliance with vibration, noise, dust, monitoring and permit requirements.
• Coordinate site access and establish with the principal contractor and wider delivery team.
• Monitor progress, quality and compliance against project specifications.
• Accept completed platforms and coordinate formal handover for construction.
• Maintain clear reporting and records across enabling works activities.
• Exercise stop-work authority where required to maintain safe and compliant delivery.

The Opportunity

Accenture Construct is seeking an experienced Blasting Manager – Enabling Works to support the delivery of a major 216MW hyperscale data centre campus in Stavanger, Norway, with construction due to commence in early 2027.

This will be a hands-on, site-based position taking responsibility for client-side oversight of rock excavation, blasting and enabling works, from initial mobilisation through to platform completion and handover to the principal contractor.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day client-side oversight of blasting, rock excavation and enabling works.
• Manage sequencing of works against key programme and platform handover dates.
• Oversee compliance with vibration, noise, dust, monitoring and permit requirements.
• Coordinate site access and establishment with the principal contractor and wider delivery team.

Ideally you will bring:

• Strong construction management experience across rock excavation, blasting and major enabling works.
• Experience working on large-scale infrastructure, industrial or mission-critical construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of Norwegian blasting regulations and construction requirements.
• Experience managing contractors and complex site interfaces.
• Strong understanding of HSE, quality, programme and site controls.
• Professional fluency in Norwegian and English.
• Previous experience working in a client-side or PMC environment.
