Nofence AS is seeking an Embedded Systems Engineer to join the Engineering team in Norway. You will develop prototype-level drivers and firmware for sensors and modules, focusing on power efficiency and energy optimisation, while collaborating across hardware and software to ensure robust system integration.

Ideal candidates have RTOS on ARM Cortex-M experience, strong C skills, and a passion for energy-efficient design.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems or similar.
• Embedded C with peripheral drivers (I²C, SPI, UART, ADC, GPIO, interrupts, DMA).
• Experience with an RTOS on ARM Cortex‑M and low‑power firmware design.
• Python for test automation and script-based testing.
• Comfort reading schematics, datasheets and errata.
• Fluent English.

Responsabilidades

• Write prototype-level drivers and test firmware for new sensors, chips and modules.
• Own firmware‑side power behaviour: low‑power states and energy optimisation, with hardware support.
• Debug across the hardware/firmware boundary with oscilloscopes and analyzers.
• Run protocol-level system tests for LTE, NTN and Bluetooth, including pre‑compliance.
• Build test automation and test setups for bring-up and regression.
• Review schematics from the firmware side and input on component choices.
