Job summary

DNV offers a 16–18 month technical trainee program in Electrical Systems or Integrated Ship Systems at Høvik, starting August 2027, with a 4–6 month assignment abroad. The trainee position is permanent from day one, with rotations across disciplines and strong exposure to maritime projects.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Cybernetics, Automation, Systems Engineering, Electric Power Engineering, Computer Science).
• Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Analytical and structured approach to solving complex problems.
• Interest in maritime technology and ships/offshore systems.

Responsibilities

• Join Electrical Systems and Integrated Ship Systems teams at Høvik.
• Participate in a 16–18-month trainee programme with rotations and a 4–6 month assignment abroad.
• Work with surveyors, approval engineers and technical experts on real maritime projects.
• Build broad exposure to DNV’s operations, culture and customer-facing activities.
