Job summary

DNV is recruiting two Trainees to join the Electrical Systems and Integrated Ship Systems teams at Høvik. The 16–18 month programme includes rotations across technical disciplines and a 4–6 month assignment abroad, with hands-on work alongside surveyors and engineers on real maritime projects.

You will gain exposure to DNV’s operations, culture and global network, preparing for a permanent role from day one.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Cybernetics, Automation, Systems Engineering, Electric Power Engineering, Computer Science) or equivalent.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across disciplines and cultures.
• Curious, open-minded and eager to learn in a fast-developing technical environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 16–18 month trainee programme with rotations across technical disciplines and service lines.
• Work hands-on with surveyors, approval engineers and technical experts on real maritime projects.
• Gain broad exposure to operational, technical and customer-facing work to build expertise and industry insight.
