Job summary

Future Engineering Recruitment Ltd in Norway is seeking a Document Controller to manage drawings, technical submissions and project information on a major data centre development. This site-based role offers long-term work with progression opportunities on growing teams.

The ideal candidate will have document control experience in construction or engineering, familiarity with DMS systems (Aconex, Asite, Viewpoint or Procore), and be willing to relocate and work permanently on site in Norway.

Qualifications

• Experience in document control within construction or engineering.
• Experience working for a main contractor, specialist contractor or engineering consultancy.
• Experience using project document management systems (DMS) such as Aconex, Asite, Viewpoint or Procore.
• Willingness to be permanently site-based in Norway and relocate if required.

Responsibilities

• Managing and maintaining project documents, drawings and technical records.
• Ensuring all documentation is correctly numbered, reviewed, approved and distributed.
• Uploading and issuing documents through the project’s document management system.
• Maintaining drawing registers, trackers and revision histories.
• Coordinating RFIs, technical submissions, design information and approval workflows.
• Ensuring site teams and subcontractors are working from the latest information.

Are you a Document Controller looking to work on one of Norway’s largest new data centre developments? Join an established international contractor delivering a major project for a leading technology client. This is their first development in Norway, with another project already planned, offering long-term work in the region and opportunities to progress as the team continues to grow.

This is a site-based position for a Document Controller experienced in managing drawings, technical submissions and project information within a fast-paced construction environment.

Your role will include:

• Managing and maintaining project documents, drawings and technical records
• Ensuring all documentation is correctly numbered, reviewed, approved and distributed
• Uploading and issuing documents through the project’s document management system
• Maintaining drawing registers, trackers and revision histories
• Coordinating RFIs, technical submissions, design information and approval workflows
• Ensuring site teams and subcontractors are working from the latest information

The ideal Document Controller will have:

• Previous document control experience within construction or engineering
• Experience working for a main contractor, specialist contractor or engineering consultancy
• Experience using systems such as Aconex, Asite, Viewpoint, Procore or similar
• Norwegian or EU/EEA working rights
• Willingness to be permanently site-based in Norway
• The ability to relocate
