Job summary

Indie Campers, a leading campervan marketplace, is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee 2-3 depots and 300-450 vehicles. Based at the largest depot, you will travel between locations and supervise Operations Supervisors to ensure on-time vehicle readiness, staffing, and adherence to SOPs.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in hands-on operations in mobility, rent-a-car, or logistics.
• 2–3 years of experience leading multi-site teams.
• Experience managing labor, overtime, costs and budgets.
• Strong KPIs, workforce planning, and fleet coordination.
• Hands-on leadership style with frontline collaboration.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Professional fluency in English; local language a plus.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to drive campervans.
• Willingness to travel frequently between depots.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational performance across 2-3 depots to hit targets.
• Coach and develop Supervisors with clear expectations.
• Ensure vehicles are ready, clean, and available for check-ins/check-outs.
• Monitor KPIs, identify gaps, and apply corrective actions.
• Manage labor, overtime, scheduling, and operating costs within budget.
• Coordinate workforce coverage between locations during peaks.
• Ensure SOPs, safety, compliance, and people practices are followed.
• Resolve escalated issues and prevent recurrence.
• Implement new processes and district initiatives.
• Report performance, risks, and resources to District Manager.
• Visit each depot weekly and perform at least one frontline shift monthly.
• Be the first escalation point when Supervisors can't resolve.
• Maintain availability during weekends/holidays, including Thursday-Monday peak season.
