Job summary

Hydro seeks a business-oriented lawyer to join the GBS Legal team as the primary advisor on AI and data privacy matters. You will collaborate with stakeholders across Hydro’s global organization to enable responsible innovation and ensure compliant, privacy‑preserving AI initiatives.

The role reports to the Head of GBS Data Privacy and involves shaping Hydro's AI governance and privacy practices in a multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Law degree with strong academic credentials.
• Preferably 4–8 years of experience from a law firm or as in-house counsel or similar.
• Expertise in data privacy, technology law, AI regulations, or related fields.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary legal advisor to Hydro's GBS on AI and data privacy matters.
• Collaborate with and advise stakeholders across Hydro’s global organization and business areas.
• Help enable responsible innovation, support compliance, and contribute to AI governance strategy.
• Contribute to operational privacy and AI compliance activities and translate regulatory developments into practical actions.
