Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Data Migration Engineer for the ADMS Series 6 program in Oslo, Norway. The role focuses on migrating and consolidating utility network data into a unified ADMS Series 6 environment within a hybrid work setup.

You will design ETL processes, work with cross-functional teams, validate data quality, and support testing and deployment readiness. A background in data migration, GIS, SCADA, and related IT/OT disciplines is valued.

Qualifications

• 1-6+ years of experience in data migration, ETL development, data engineering, GIS, or related technical disciplines.
• Hands-on experience with data migration projects involving large or complex datasets.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Understanding of SCADA systems, electrical networks, GIS platforms, or utility OT.
• Experience developing or supporting ETL processes and data transformation workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot data quality and integration issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to collaborate in hybrid, distributed teams.
• Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute data migration activities from multiple source systems into a consolidated ADMS Series 6 environment.
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes and migration pipelines for large-scale data transformations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to hit migration milestones and project objectives.
• Validate, cleanse, and reconcile complex utility data to maintain data quality.
• Analyze source data structures and identify opportunities to improve migration efficiency.
• Support migration testing, defect resolution, validation, and deployment readiness.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, ADMS engineers, and integration teams to resolve data challenges.
• Contribute to migration documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
