THE OPPORTUNITY IN A NUTSHELL You? A data engineer with around 2-3 years of relevant experience (indicative). Empathetic with the people you collaborate with, proactive about data quality, and creative in how you model solutions. You combine a solid technical foundation with curiosity and care deeply about making sure our data products are reliable, well-governed, and easy to consume. Role? Data Engineer joining CAM Classifieds & Transactions, responsible for designing, building, and evolving core analytical data products across our Classifieds and Transactions domains that underpin analytics, insights, and AI-driven workflows at Vend. Tech stack? Snowflake, SQL, dbt, Python. Company? Vend, home of FINN, Blocket, Tori, Oikotie, DBA & Bilbasen. Around 500 developers deploy code and models to production thousands of times a week. Our mission is simple: Smart choices made easy. We connect millions of people across the Nordics while making sustainable living effortless. Location? Join us in our Oslo or Stockholm office, with the flexibility to work 3 days per week remotely! Why us? Most data teams are still figuring out how to combine dbt modeling with modern AI agents. With CAM, we are building the shared analytical foundation for all of Vend, using AI-augmented dev workflows to reduce friction and power the flow connecting data, insights, and products. You will join a supportive team where you get to shape these modern practices as we grow. Sounds like your cup of tea? Check out the details below!

WHO ARE YOU?
  • Collaborative & Empathetic: You communicate clearly across distributed teams in fluent English, bring a supportive attitude to complex problems, and enjoy exploring solutions together.
  • Continuous Learner: You take ownership of your professional growth, actively seek feedback, and look for opportunities to develop your technical skills.
  • Hands-on with AI Tooling: You are curious about or already use modern dev tools (such as Claude Code, Copilot, or other LLM harnesses) in your daily dev cycles to accelerate code generation, refactoring, and metadata propagation.
  • Data & Architectural Fundamentals: You understand layered data modeling, care about quality guardrails, consistent business logic, and modular schema design that scales across marketplace domains.
  • Analytics Engineering Skills: You bring solid SQL skills and data modeling concepts, with practical experience or exposure (indicative 1–3+ years) to cloud data platforms (preferably Snowflake) and transformation frameworks (dbt strongly preferred; Python as a plus).
  • Authentic Perspective: You bring open dialogue, constructive curiosity, and fresh ideas that help us continuously improve how we work.
