Job summary

Head Energy Consulting AS is seeking a Control System Software Engineer to develop and deliver control system software for advanced subsea technologies, including subsea compression and boosting systems and swivel stacks.

The role involves designing, implementing, and testing software, performing upgrades, collaborating with suppliers, and supporting handover across project phases. English and Norwegian language skills are required.

Qualifications

Holds a BSc or MSc in Automation, Cybernetics, Computer Science/IT, or related field.
Experience with PLC-based control systems is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver control system software for advanced subsea technologies.
Design, implement, and test control system software for subsea systems.
Modify and upgrade delivered control systems through aftermarket activities.
Participate in component, functional, system, and interface testing.
Collaborate with suppliers during testing activities at supplier locations.
Work with multidisciplinary engineering teams across all project phases.
Support implementation and handover of control system software for subsea products and systems.

Job Description

Control System Software Engineer will develop and deliver control system software for advanced subsea technologies, including subsea compression and boosting systems, swivel stacks, and other automated solutions.
Designing, implementing, and testing control system software for subsea systems
Performing modifications and upgrades to delivered control systems through aftermarket activities
Participating in component, functional, system, and interface testing
Working closely with suppliers during testing activities at supplier locations
Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams across all project phases
Supporting implementation and handover of control system software for subsea products and systems

Qualifications

Wants to work with industry-leading subsea technology and contribute to a sustainable energy future
Enjoys technically challenging work in a collaborative engineering environment
Holds a BSc or a MSc in Automation, Cybernetics, Computer Science/IT, or related engineering field.
Experience with PLC-based control systems is a strong advantage
Has a minimum of 4-8 years of relevant industry experience
Is fluent in English, both spoken and written
