We are now looking for a Control System Software Engineer to join our team in Bergen, Sandsli.

Designing, implementing, and testing control system software for subsea systems
Performing modifications and upgrades to delivered control systems through aftermarket activities
Participating in component, functional, system, and interface testing
Working closely with suppliers during testing activities at supplier locations
Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams across all project phases
Supporting implementation and handover of control system software for subsea products and systems

The ideal candidate holds as a minimum a BSc in automation, cybernetics, computer science, IT, or a related engineering discipline. Experience with PLC-based control systems is considered a strong advantage, however we also value relevant practical experience and transferable skills and encourage candidates with diverse backgrounds to apply.
Has minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience
Is fluent in English, both spoken and written
Has a positive, practical, and solution-oriented mindset with high drive and strong capacity to deliver
Can work both independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams
Experience with Rockwell Automation products (e.g. Allen-Bradley PLCs or FactoryTalk View HMI software)
Experience with Hyper-V virtualization or VMware solutions
Experience with Microsoft Windows Server
Understanding of quality assurance and software testing methods
Knowledge of HTML5 and modern visualization/presentation tools
Use of AI tools to support development and improve workflows
Collaboration with highly qualified engineers working with leading energy companies worldwide
