Head Energy is seeking a Control System Software Engineer in Norway to develop, design, implement, and test control software for advanced subsea technologies, including compression and boosting systems. You will work with multidisciplinary teams and suppliers across project phases.

The role requires a BSc or MSc in Automation, Cybernetics, Computer Science, or related field, 4–8 years of experience, and fluency in English.

• Minimum 4–8 years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience with PLC-based control systems is a strong advantage.

Responsabilités

• Develop, design, implement, and test control system software for subsea technologies.
• Develop and deliver software for subsea compression and boosting systems.
• Design, implement, and test control software for subsea systems.
• Modify and upgrade delivered control systems through aftermarket activities.
• Collaborate with suppliers and multidisciplinary engineering teams across project phases.
• Support implementation and handover of control software for subsea products.

Job Description:

• Control System Software Engineer will develop and deliver control system software for advanced subsea technologies, including subsea compression and boosting systems, swivel stacks, and other automated solutions.
• Designing, implementing, and testing control system software for subsea systems
• Performing modifications and upgrades to delivered control systems through aftermarket activities
• Participating in component, functional, system, and interface testing
• Working closely with suppliers during testing activities at supplier locations
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams across all project phases
• Supporting implementation and handover of control system software for subsea products and systems

Qualifications:

Is fluent in English, both spoken and written

• Wants to work with industry-leading subsea technology and contribute to a sustainable energy future
• Enjoys technically challenging work in a collaborative engineering environment
• Holds a BSc or a MSc in Automation, Cybernetics, Computer Science/IT, or related engineering field.
• Experience with PLC-based control systems is a strong advantage
• Has a minimum of 4-8 years of relevant industry experience

• Has a positive, practical, and solution-oriented mindset with high drive and strong delivery capacity
• Is able to work both independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams
