Job summary

Leap29 is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Control Engineer to support energy projects on a contract basis for a Norway-based engineering team. You will develop and maintain control narratives, I/O lists, and C&E diagrams, and contribute to ICSS integration.

The role requires strong technical writing, independence, and the ability to collaborate across disciplines; remote work for certain tasks is possible. Competitive day rate offered based on experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience with control systems in energy/oil & gas/maritime sectors.
  • Proficient in developing control narratives, I/O lists and C&E diagrams.
  • Familiarity with ICSS and interfacing requirements.
  • Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate across disciplines.
  • Remote-work experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain control narratives and functional descriptions for systems.
  • Prepare and manage I/O lists, C&E matrices, and interface documentation.
  • Contribute to development and integration of ICSS.
  • Ensure documentation aligns with project specs, standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with multi-discipline teams for proper system function and integration.
  • Review vendor documentation and input on control strategies.
  • Support testing, commissioning and verification activities where applicable.
