Job summary

Want More in Oslo, Norway is seeking an experienced Instrument Technician to install, maintain and repair industrial instruments used for measurement and control. The role is a contract position with accommodation provided.

You will calibrate instruments, read drawings, troubleshoot issues, keep detailed maintenance records, and work with engineers to implement solutions. Candidates should have at least two years of experience and a solid understanding of electrical systems.

Qualifications

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Instrument Technician to join our team in Oslo Norway As an Instrument Technician you will be responsible for installing maintaining and repairing various types of instruments used for measurement and control in industrial settings This is a contract position with a salary of 1500$ per month along with accommodation provided

Responsibilities

• Install maintain and repair various types of instruments such as pressure gauges thermometers flow meters and level sensors
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with instruments to determine necessary repairs
• Perform regular calibration and testing of instruments to ensure accuracy
• Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs performed on instruments
• Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to identify solutions for complex instrument issues
• Stay up-to-date with industry advancements in instrument technology and techniques

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Instrument Technician or similar role
• Experience working with a variety of industrial instruments
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and circuitry
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals for instrument installation and repair
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide updates on instrument status

Preferred

• Diploma or degree in ElectricalElectronics Engineering or equivalent field
• Familiarity with different types of control systems PLCDCS
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to working with instruments in industrial environments
• Experience working in the oil gas industry
