Job summary

North London family-run business seeks a hands-on Finance Manager / Company Accountant to lead day-to-day and monthly accounting, reporting to the MD/Owner. The role covers VAT/CIS, inter-company reconciliations and year-end preparation, with five days a week in the office.

Responsibilities include daily bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, cash flow management, management accounts, and liaison with external accountants for year-end. Sage Line 50 experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Experienced accountant with hands-on control of day-to-day bookkeeping and month-end processes.
• Strong understanding of VAT and CIS compliance where applicable.
• Committed to a long-term local opportunity and office-based work in North London.

Responsibilities

• Daily bookkeeping on Sage Line 50 and processing purchase invoices.
• Bank reconciliations, cash flow management and supplier statement reconciliations.
• Raising sales invoices, credit control and monitoring aged debtors.
• Month-end procedures, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments.
• Inter-company reconciliations and preparation of year-end packs for external accountants.
• Ad hoc duties for the MD/Owner.

North London - This small but highly successful family-run business in North London is seeking a sole-charge hands-on Finance Manager / Company Accountant.

Reporting to the MD / Owner, the Finance Manager / Company Accountant role will be responsible for all day to day and monthly accounting including:

• Daily bookkeeping on Sage Line 50
• Processing purchase ledger invoices
• Bank reconciliations and cash flow management
• Raising sales ledger invoices, credit control, monitoring aged debtors
• Supplier statement reconciliations and payments runs
• Month-end procedures and reconciliations
• Balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
• Processing monthly management accounts
• Inter-company reconciliations
• VAT and CIS returns
• Year-end preparation for external accountants
• Ad hoc responsibilities for the MD / Owner

This is a hands-on Finance Manager / Company Accountant / Financial Controller role that needs an experienced accountant looking for a long-term local opportunity - 5 days a week in the office - at a friendly family-run business.
