Job summary

CMR Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Finance Assistant for a growing dental sector client. You will own day-to-day bookkeeping, manage ledgers, process invoices, and support VAT returns with attention to detail.

Ideal candidates will have experience in bookkeeping, strong Excel and ERP skills, and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines. AAT qualification or progress is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in bookkeeping or finance assistant roles.
• Knowledge of sales ledgers, purchase ledgers and bank reconciliations.
• Experience with UK VAT returns.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting/ERP software.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage sales and purchase ledgers, ensure transactions are reconciled.
• Post and allocate customer payments and issue statements.
• Conduct credit control and chase overdue payments.
• Process supplier invoices and payments, including foreign currency transactions.
• Reconcile bank accounts and prepare VAT returns.
• Produce regular financial and KPI reports for management.
• Liaise with external accountants and handle queries.
