Mandarin or Cantonese speaking Assistant Finance Manager

Location: London

The company: A leading international food manufacturer serving retailers, distributors and foodservice partners in international markets

Main duties: Be responsible for driving the day-to-day finance operations, financial reporting, cash flow and controls while supporting the business performance and process improvements

The role:

• Lead and oversee the Accounts Payable function ensuring accurate and timely invoice processing and payments
• Manage month-end and year-end reporting including financial and management accounts.
• Oversee cash flow, banking activities and intercompany transactions ensuring effective financial management.
• Supervise finance and accounting operations within the business providing guidance and support to the wider team.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis identifying opportunities, risks and areas for improved performance.
• Maintain strong financial controls, tax compliance and audit processes ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and Group policies.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and companies Head Office providing clear financial information and supporting business decisions.
• Lead and support finance projects, system implementations and process improvements to enhance efficiency and drive continuous improvement.

The candidate:

• Fluent in English and Mandarin OR Cantonese (written and spoken) essential
• Degree in Finance / Accountancy or similar
• Professionally qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent) necessary
• Experience working in a finance role is needed
• Strong experience across financial accounting, reporting, controls and cash flow management
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong commercial awareness.
• Highly organised, proactive and able to take ownership and work to deadlines.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills particularly Excel.
• SAP experience is desirable.
• Must have the right to work in the UK
