Job summary

Beam is seeking an Employment Specialist to join the Southwark Connect to Work team in London. You will hold a caseload of participants facing barriers to employment and guide them into paid work using IPS/SEQF models, with face-to-face community work 65% of the time.

You will build relationships with participants and employers, deliver tailored support across the employment journey, and maintain accurate records in Beam's CRM to support fidelity and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in a client-facing support or employment-related role.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with participants from diverse backgrounds.
• Comfortable working across community locations with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Hold a caseload of up to 25 participants (closer to 20 when delivering SEQF).
• Deliver person-centred, strengths-based support using IPS or SEQF model as appropriate.
• Complete and update Vocational Profiles and Vocational Action Plans.
• Support participants through the full employment journey for up to 12 months.
• Provide time-unlimited, individualised in-work support and liaise with employers.
• Signpost and support self-employment where relevant.
• Community delivery: work across homes, outreach venues and partner sites in Southwark.
• Build and maintain referral relationships with local voluntary and community organisations.
• Represent Beam at community events and partner meetings to generate referrals.
• Employer engagement: develop relationships with local employers and assist with inclusive recruitment.
• Maintain accurate participant records in Beam's CRM and contribute to fidelity evidence.
• Collaborate with Team Leader and delivery partners; participate in supervision and training.
• Contribute to Beam's social value commitments in Southwark.
