Job summary

Oslo University Hospital's Unit for Translational Research, Section of Cell Therapy, seeks a Special Engineer to support clinical trials in cancer immunotherapy. The role involves handling patient samples, isolating immune cells, and evaluating immune responses to vaccines and adoptive therapies.

The successful candidate will document lab procedures, maintain GLP standards, and collaborate with a team of researchers in a state-of-the-art GMP facility.

Qualifications

  • MSc or equivalent in Biology.
  • Experience with primary T-cell culture, ELISA/ELISPOT, and flow cytometry is required.
  • Knowledge of GLP and handling patient samples is essential.
  • Experience with transfection, Western blot and microarray would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Process patient samples from clinical trial participants.
  • Isolate immune cells and assess immune responses (cytokine, phenotype, cytotoxicity).
  • Document procedures and maintain lab methods.
  • Communicate with study personnel and contribute to lab operations and research development.
