Job summary

The University of Oslo invites applications for a 3-year fixed-term postdoctoral position (SKO 1352) in immunology. The project focuses on antigen-specific B-cell depletion therapies for autoimmune diseases, led by Prof. Ludvig M.

Sollid, with supervision from Dr Guro Løvik Goll at OUH and REMEDY. The successful candidate will perform lab work in Sollid lab, collaborate across disciplines, and contribute to cloning, flow cytometry, and data analysis, with opportunities to present at

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree required in medicine, molecular biology, basic immunology or a related area.
  • Background in basic immunological research.
  • Experience with flow cytometry, cell culture, ELISA, PCR, cloning, and transfection.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, scientific writing and presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Organize the clinical part of the project and recruit/obtain biological samples.
  • Isolate immune cells from patient samples.
  • Identify and characterize antigen-specific cells by flow cytometry and culture assays.
  • Clone and express rearranged B-cell receptor genes from antigen-specific B cells and plasma cells.
  • Write papers and present results at international conferences.
  • Present research regularly at UiO and REMEDY center and at international conferences.
