O’Connor’s Irish Pub Stavanger is seeking an experienced chef for a one-month full-time assignment in Stavanger. You will join a busy kitchen, prepare and cook dishes, maintain mise en place, and work closely with both kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver high-quality pub fare.

The position offers a lively central Stavanger workplace, with potential for extension to a permanent role for the right person. English or Norwegian language skills are welcomed.

Are you an experienced chef looking for your next opportunity in Stavanger?

O’Connor’s Irish Pub Stavanger is looking for a skilled and reliable Chef to join their kitchen team for an initial one-month full-time assignment – with a strong possibility of extending the position or moving into a permanent role if it’s a great match.

Located in the heart of Stavanger, O’Connor’s combines the atmosphere of a traditional Irish pub with a busy social scene and a kitchen serving classic, hearty pub food.

The role

You’ll become part of the kitchen team and help deliver consistent, high-quality food throughout service.

• Preparing and cooking dishes according to the restaurant’s menu and standards
• Handling your own section during service
• Mise en place and preparation before service
• Maintaining good structure, cleanliness and food-safety routines
• Working efficiently during busy periods
• Cooperating closely with the rest of the kitchen and front-of-house team

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has previous professional experience as a chef
• Is confident working independently in a busy kitchen
• Works quickly without compromising quality
• Is reliable, organised and takes responsibility
• Has a positive attitude and works well as part of a team
• Can communicate comfortably in English or Norwegian
• Is available to work full-time for approximately one month

Experience with pub food, casual dining, à la carte or high-volume kitchens is an advantage.
