Job summary

Oslo University Hospital seeks a motivated bioinformatician for a one-year research assistant position in the Section for Cancer Cytogenetics, Department of Pathology. Start 01 November 2026 or as soon as possible.

You will work with cancer genomic and transcriptomic data, develop robust computational workflows, and apply advanced statistical methods to integrate diverse data sources and extract biologically meaningful findings.

Qualifications

• PhD in bioinformatics or related field with emphasis on cancer genomics or biostatistics.
• Strong quantitative and computational skills with experience in R.
• Experience with gene/miRNA expression analysis and differential expression workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply bioinformatic workflows for high-dimensional data integration.
• Analyze genomic and transcriptomic data to identify molecular mechanisms of cancer.
• Collaborate across cancer forms and contribute to methodological development.
