Key Responsibilities
  • Develop embedded backend software in C/C++ for microcontrollers, focusing on performance, memory efficiency, and real-time operation
  • Design, implement, and maintain communication protocol stacks, including both proprietary and industry-standard protocols
  • Develop transport, session, and application layer functionality, including state machines, framing, parsing, and error handling
  • Optimize software for timing, latency, throughput, and resource utilization
  • Integrate firmware with hardware interfaces, peripherals, and low-level drivers
  • Ensure compliance with relevant maritime, industrial, and cybersecurity standards
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Collaborate closely with software, hardware, QA, and system engineering teams to deliver robust platform solutions
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to testing, debugging, and validation of embedded software and communication interfaces

Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience developing embedded software in C/C++
  • Proven experience implementing communication protocol stacks such as UART, SPI, I2C, Profinet, TCP/IP, Modbus, OPC-UA, or MQTT
  • Strong understanding of microcontroller architectures, DMA, interrupts, low-level drivers, and embedded hardware interfaces
  • Experience with embedded cybersecurity concepts such as secure boot, encrypted communication, and access control
  • Familiarity with Git version control and modern CI/CD development practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to software development
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
  • Passion for emerging technologies, embedded systems, and AI-assisted software development
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
