Job summary

Vipps is hiring a senior cloud engineer to build and run our cloud platform for AI-enabled services. You’ll work on Azure AKS, implement reusable Terraform modules, and extend the platform with secure AI capabilities in a collaborative environment.

You will partner with architecture, product, and security teams to translate needs into scalable infrastructure, maintain high availability, and optimize costs. A practical, hands-on mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Senior cloud engineer with hands-on production workloads on major public clouds (Azure/AKS a plus).
• Deep IaC experience, especially Terraform; design, evolve, and maintain reusable Terraform modules.
• Solid Kubernetes, networking, identity, security, and observability on Azure knowledge.
• Experience with CI/CD, GitOps workflows, and automated infrastructure delivery.
• A focus on secure, scalable, resilient, cost-efficient cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with autoscaling, cost optimisation, and capacity management.
• Great communication and a collaborative, down-to-earth style.
• Bias for automation, simplification, and measurable impact.

Responsibilities

• Shape and operate core infrastructure in Azure—AKS and Azure PaaS services.
• Enable AI across the platform with secure, governed capabilities for LLMs and AI services.
• Write IaC using Terraform or Bicep to create modular, reusable infra.
• Automate platform changes with GitOps tools like Argo CD, Helm, and Kustomize.
• Own identity, secrets, and network controls using Azure-native and Kubernetes primitives.
• Ensure high availability, safe rollouts, and cost-effective scaling.
• Collaborate with architecture, product, and security teams to deliver platform capabilities.
• Help shape internal standards and platform roadmaps as we grow.
