Qualifications

• Hands-on experience running production workloads on a major public cloud (Azure/AKS preferred).
• Deep experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Strong Kubernetes, networking, identity and security understanding in Azure.

Responsibilities

• Shape cloud platform by building and operating core Azure infrastructure (AKS and Azure PaaS).
• Enable AI capabilities on the platform with secure, governed access for teams.
• Write infrastructure as code using Terraform and/or Bicep with modular, reusable infra.
• Automate with GitOps tools like Argo CD, Helm, and Kustomize for rapid, safe changes.
• Maintain security through identity, secrets management, and network controls in Azure/Kubernetes.
• Build for high availability, safe rollouts, and cost-efficient scaling.
• Collaborate with architecture, product, and security teams to translate needs into platform capabilities.
• Contribute to internal standards and platform roadmaps as we grow.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll play a key role in building and running our cloud platform, with a mix of infrastructure engineering, automation, and AI enablement.

Here’s some of the things you’ll be working on:

• Shape our cloud platform: Build and operate core infrastructure in Azure — especially AKS and Azure PaaS services.
• Enable AI across the company: Extend the platform with secure, well-governed AI capabilities that make it easy (and responsible!) for teams to use LLMs and shared AI services.
• Write infrastructure as code: Use Terraform and/or Bicep to create modular, reusable infra that’s fully version-controlled.
• Automate where possible: Use GitOps tooling like Argo CD, Helm, and Kustomize to deliver platform changes quickly and safely.
• Keep things secure: Own identity and access patterns, secrets management, and network controls using Azure-native and Kubernetes primitives.
• Make it reliable: Build for high availability, safe rollouts, and cost-efficient scaling.
• Collaborate closely: Work with architecture, product, and security teams to translate needs into platform capabilities that just work.
• Keep improving: Help shape our internal standards and platform roadmaps as we grow.

We're looking for a senior cloud engineer who is pragmatic, collaborative, and passionate about building reliable platforms.

• Strong hands-on experience running production workloads on a major public cloud platform (Azure/AKS experience is a plus)
• Deep experience with Infrastructure as Code, with Terraform as a core tool
• Confidence designing, evolving, and maintaining reusable Terraform modules and cloud foundations
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes, networking, identity, security, and observability in Azure
• Experience with CI/CD, GitOps workflows, and automated infrastructure delivery
• A focus on secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud platforms
• Familiarity with autoscaling, cost optimisation, and capacity management
• Great communication skills and a collaborative, down-to-earth style
• A bias for automation, simplification, and measurable impact
