Job summary

Elke De Brabandere is seeking an automation technician to join the team in Drammen, Norway. This hands-on role blends electrical/mechanical assembly with important customer interaction. You will assemble and install equipment, run tests, upload software to components, and report defects while maintaining quality and HSE standards.

Fluent English is required; Norwegian skills are a plus. Daily commuting from Drammen is expected, and you should be ready to start immediately or on short notice

Qualifications

• Certificate of apprenticeship in Automation (Fagbrev Automatiker) or equivalent qualifications.
• Fluent English; Norwegian language skills are a plus in Norway.
• Comfortable handling customers and clients.
• Accurate, hard worker who values order and tidiness.
• Easy-going with strong collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install electromechanical equipment according to drawings.
• Make couplings and connections per technical drawings.
• Run Inhouse Tests and Factory Acceptance Tests in the test department.
• Handle general PC usage, including uploading/downloading software to components.
• Red-mark documentation and report errors, defects, or missing parts to supervisor.
• Maintain the quality management system and adhere to HSE regulations.
• Manage direct customer contact with high-profile clients, representing the company well.
