Job summary

Randstad AS is seeking an automation technician in Norway to assemble and install electromechanical equipment, run Inhouse and Factory Acceptance Tests, and manage direct customer contact. The role requires a Certificate of apprenticeship in Automation (Fagbrev Automatiker) or equivalent and daily commuting to Drammen area.

Fluency in English is essential; Norwegian is a plus. Immediate or October/November 2026 start is expected.

• Fluent in English; Norwegian is a plus for Norway-based role.
• Comfortable handling customers and clients with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install electromechanical equipment with professional skill.
• Make couplings and connections according to technical drawings.
• Run Inhouse Tests and Factory Acceptance Tests in the test department.
• Handle general PC usage, including uploading/downloading software to components.
• Report errors, defects or missing parts to supervisor.

We are currently recruiting for an automation technician to join the team.

This is a dynamic role that blends hands‑on technical assembly with important customer interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and install electromechanical equipment with professional skill.


• Make couplings and connections according to technical drawings.


• Work in the test department to run Inhouse Tests and Factory Acceptance Tests.


• Handle general PC usage, including the uploading and downloading of software to components.


• Red-mark documentation and report any errors, defects, or lacking parts to your supervisor.


• Maintain the quality management system and adhere strictly to HSE regulations during all work.


• Manage direct customer contact with high-profile clients, ensuring you represent the company with excellent communication skills.
  

Who You Are:

• You hold a Certificate of apprenticeship in Automation (Fagbrev Automatiker) or have equivalent qualifications and experience.


• You are very confident and fluent in English (Norwegian language skills are of course a plus in Norway).


• You are comfortable and professional when handling customers and clients.


• You are an accurate, hard worker who values order and tidiness.


• You are an easy-going person with a strong ability to collaborate with others.

• it is important that you live in or around Drammen (Norway) or are willing to commute on a daily basis here.
