Job summary

Head Energy is seeking an Automation- Cyber Security expert to design and secure OT networks in a large-scale oil&gas setting. You will work on switches, routers, firewalls, and virtual environments, ensuring compliance with customer specifications.

The role requires 5+ years in OT security, strong knowledge of ICS/SCADA, and familiarity with Purdue Model and IEC62443 standards. English and Norwegian language skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in OT security, focusing on engineering in design, testing and support of large network infrastructures.
• Solid understanding of ICS/SCADA and OT technologies.
• Experience with Modbus, Profibus, IEC61850, TCP/IP, Ethernet, OPC UA.
• Experience implementing Purdue Model to enhance OT security.
• Experience applying NIST CSF and IEC62443 in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Define design of network infrastructure to protect OT systems from cyber threats.

• Support suppliers in completing Self-Assessment Templates.
• Perform risk assessment of supplier packages using IEC62443 standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Define design of network infrastructure and ensure compliance with customer specifications to protect OT systems from cyber threats, including intrusion detection systems, firewalls, access controls, and network segmentation.
• Participate in FAT testing and verification of configuration of switches, routers, firewalls etc.
• Support suppliers and vendors in completing Self-Assessment Templates.
• Risk assessment of supplier packages and systems with basis in IEC62443 Cyber Security Standard
• Handle interface to other disciplines, suppliers, other Contractors, and Client
• Facilitate/lead RVA (Risk Vulnerability Analysis) workshop for operational technology systems to identify security weaknesses and potential threats

Required Education

• Relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree

Required Work Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Operational Technology (OT) security, with a primary focus on engineering in design, configuration, testing and support of large network infrastructures including configuration of Switches, Firewalls, Servers, and virtual environments.
• Minimum 5 years working experience with network design and/or cyber security preferably in oil & gas EPC projects/Industrial control systems.

Required Qualifications

• Solid understanding of industrial control systems (ICS), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, and other OT technologies.
• Experience with design and testing of communication networks/protocols like Modbus, Profibus, IEC61850, TCP IP, Ethernet, OPC UA etc.
• Experience with the implementation of Purdue Model to enhance security within the OT environment.
• Experience with the implementation of NIST Cyber Security Framework (CSF)
• Experience with IEC62443 and Equinor technical requirements TR 1658 and Self-Assessment Templates
